2025 Community Impact Highlights

In 2025, Deaf Wellspring Center expanded its reach across Tennessee through youth programming, trauma-informed training, mental health groups, and statewide partnerships focused on advancing Deaf mental health and community connection.

Highlights include hosting a Deaf Camp Day in Brentwood, TN, where Deaf and Hard of Hearing children ages 6–18 explored emotions and self-expression through interactive activities; facilitating a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Training serving Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and ASL-fluent participants and mentors; and partnering with the Tennessee Council for the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (TCDDBHH) to co-host accessible mental health education events and collect critical community data.

Additional impact included community festivals, workshops, and mental health groups in Nashville, Memphis/West Memphis, Jackson, and Chattanooga engaging hundreds of participants in safe, inclusive spaces for learning, connection, and emotional well-being. These efforts reflect our commitment to culturally responsive care, collaboration, and strengthening Deaf communities across the state.
